Our Story

 

At By order of the makers, we’re on a mission to create luxury home fragrances that stimulate the senses while being gentle on the planet.

We love an amazing smelling home which is why we created our range of products. All our luxury products are handmade in the UK using 100% natural soy wax for all of our wax melts and candles. All of our candles have crackling wooden wicks and every product is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Even the packaging is recyclable.

Our range of products have long-lasting scents and both our candles and wax melts deliver a clean burn, our wax melts are especially good on electric burners as soy wax has a lower melting temperature compared to some other waxes. We’ve worked tirelessly to develop our range of products that provide a powerful scent without being overwhelming.

We’re a family-run business with a passion for our products that you won’t find anywhere else. We’ve developed a range of luxury products in an assortment of fragrances the quality of which you won’t find anywhere else.

We don’t cut corners or costs. We just make amazing products using the very best ingredients including natural soy wax and the finest fragrance oils.

Candle Packaging

RETURNS POLICY

We are sorry that you need to return your order!


At By order of the makers we want you to be happy with your wax melts, candles, diffusers, or any of our other products, but if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to make us aware of the problem you have with your product/products to start the process of an exchange or refund of the full purchase price, we will refund your original payment method within 7 working days. Excluding the original postage cost. All items must be returned in an unused condition. You are required to pay the return postage. As all of our products are handmade there will be some slight differences in appearance and some minor imperfections especially with wax melt snap bars (such as differing amounts of glitter, slight cracking or frosting) this does not affect the use of the wax melt snap bars in any way and therefore does not constitute a fault or damage.

If your item does arrive damaged please contact us within 24 hours of receipt, we ask that you provide us with photographs of the damage when you contact us, after 24 hours we will not be held responsible for any damages reported. Goods that are received damaged will be refunded or replaced, After inspection by our team. If on inspection we discover the product/products have been misused or intentionally damaged in any way we may only offer a partial refund.


When returning please ensure the parcel is packaged adequately to ensure that the goods are not damaged in transit. Otherwise we may not be able to exchange or refund you. We recommend that you use an insured, registered delivery service and keep the receipt as we cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit.


We do not accept returns/refunds for:


We do not accept returns/exchange or issue refunds if you do not like the scent, scent is subjective and we have descriptions of each scent in place for you to read before you purchase.


We do not replace or issue refunds for our 50g snap bar wax melts which have arrived snapped. As it does not affect the use of the product, and this can happen during the postal process I'm afraid.


Wax melts and candles that have been used or partially used.


Unfortunately we will be unable to accommodate any refund if it appears that your candle has not been burnt correctly in line with our candle care instructions supplied with each purchase. We strongly advise that these are read upon purchasing to ensure the best possible burning experience.


Note: there are no refunds or exchanges for custom or personalised product/products unless the product/products are damaged, in this case we can offer a replacement of the same product/products, only if you contact us no longer than 24 hours of receipt. With photographs of the damage. After 24 hours we will not be held responsible for any damages reported.
